My Story

As of the 4th February I’ve set off on one of the toughest challenges of my life: running 450 miles in just two weeks around the Ulster Way.

That’s over 450 miles of relentless terrain, unpredictable weather, and over 12,000 metres of elevation, the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest. It will push me physically and mentally every single day, but every mile has a purpose.

This challenge is deeply personal. After experiencing a cancer scare myself, I felt a strong need to give something back. That moment stayed with me, and it’s what led me to take on this challenge.

I’m running to raise funds for NIPANC, a Northern Ireland charity working to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

NIPANC’s work focuses on:

  • Increasing public understanding of pancreatic cancer
  • Raising awareness of its signs and symptoms among both the public and medical professionals
  • Funding vital research
  • Supporting patients and their families

NIPANC was founded by people directly affected by pancreatic cancer — people who came together not just for support, but to fight for earlier diagnosis, better treatment, and better outcomes for future patients.

Challenges like this are vital to keeping that work going. Without fundraisers, NIPANC would not be able to continue raising awareness, supporting patients and their families, or helping to fund life-saving research.

If you see me along the route over the next two weeks, please give me a cheer — it will honestly mean more than you know.

And if you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you’ll be helping turn every mile into hope.

Thank you so much for your support.
