About

Team Youth Pedals the Periphery 2026

We are Team Youth, a group of 25 students from across Northern Ireland – and we’re taking on PedalThePeriphery 2026: the ultimate 48‑hour cycling challenge. Over one weekend in June we will relay‑ride the entire 480‑mile coastline of Northern Ireland, sharing the journey in pairs so that only one of us is on the road at any time. It’s the first time young riders have joined as a dedicated team, giving us the chance to experience the camaraderie, challenge and sense of purpose that make PedalThePeriphery such a special event.

Founded by sisters Andrea Harrower and Cathy Booth, this incredible challenge has become a flagship annual fundraiser for NIPANC, Northern Ireland’s only local pancreatic cancer charity. Since its launch, more than 300 riders across 30 teams have taken part, raising over £385,000 to support NIPANC’s vital work. The relay format tests teamwork, stamina and spirit, whether it’s your first endurance ride or you’re a seasoned cyclist.

We ride because pancreatic cancer is the UK’s fifth‑biggest cancer killer and has a five‑year survival rate of less than 7%. NIPANC was founded by people personally affected by the disease to raise funds for earlier diagnosis, better treatment and improved outcomes. Every mile we cycle and every pound you donate helps increase awareness, fund research and support families affected by this devastating disease.
